He has a free selection that makes a total.

The performer is able to reveal that number over the phone. Data Spaced: In this volume, one of the contributors is the one and only Paul Brook. Having a hearing loss certainly adds to the unintelligibility of this lecture, but I must promise myself to never again download a lecture that I should have realized from the get go was going to be difficult to understand. I am still searching for a reference to a principle he mentions in the first effect that he does. He mentions Annemanns Practical Mental Effects according to him and he names the principle sounds like Shler Haswin principle.

Damned if I could understand what he said nor could I find anything close to it in the books "effects" or "magic". Aside from this, the rate at which he explains things makes it even more difficult to understand. I'm happy that the pdf of "Isabella's Star" is included as most reviews say that it alone is worth the price of the lecture. At least for me, this will have to be the saving grace. After spending money on lecture after lecture thanks penguin!

This has got to be one of my favorite lectures ever, live or online. There is a lot of hype around peter turner, and he absolutely lives up to it, is has also got to be one of the most humble performer i have ever seen. The lecture itself has about 6 great effects in it, and then there's Isabella's star, an effect that will turn anyone from a mere mentalist to a This alone was worth the price of the lecture, i would have paid triple the amount just for this PDF, actually i almost did, i got so excited when i heard peter say that he was going to include it!

I will not talk about the effects as im sure others already are, they are amazing, but what i took from this lecture was a new way to perform, and an appreciation for our art, Peter talks to us as if we were in the room, and you can feel it.

He makes you realize how important our art form is, and what it means to be not only a great mentalist, but a great human being. Okay all, Let me start by offering a bit of perspective on the people that did not enjoy this lecture.

Somebody mentioned there are only 3 effects in 3 hours, then a few more people took that ball and ran with it. Somebody even said there was somewhere between 2. I ran the lecture just now and counted 6 or so effects.. Guys and Gals, this is mentalism.

Those who are interested in mentalism will already understand that we all already have enough effects. There are many more then 3 effects in this lecture but if the effects are the only thing you are looking for please, for the love of God do not buy this. Without understanding what Peter is explaining on the 'theory' side of the lecture - the effects are lost.

And that is a sad, sad thing. After you watch this lecture there is nothing expensive to buy and no crazy sleights to learn. All you are left with are 2 or 3 routines that will leave people breathless. What you will take away with you is thinking from a man who many of the top mentalists in the world say is the future of mentalism.

Didn't know that? True story. If you are looking to spend a few dollars on something and do not already own maximum entertainment, go and buy that.

If you already own maximum entertainment, be bold and give this lecture a shot. If you're never bold you will never learn how to create miracles! If you buy this lecture and you do not like it, it more then likely means your more into magic then mentalism - and that's okay.

As this is mentalism, to a large extent this is acceptable, however his explanations are long sermons also.

In his explanation of finding out the day and month of someone's birth he talks about looking for the spectator's "reaction" - but he does not elicit what this so-called reaction is. Is it a blink? A smile? If the spectator is poker-faced there must be some body language "reaction" but WHAT!!! I found myself being intrigued and then frustrated by both his effects and his explantions, therefore I have only given 3 stars! Did this review help you?

Do you want to respond to this review? The material in this is incredible, but Peter does ramble quite a bit. Everything he says is gold, but it could be formatted in an easier to understand method. I have watched this many times, and each time I get a bit more out of it. The routines each one are real workers, and amazing. They are well worth the trouble of following Peter. I am performing several of them now and they are jaw-droppers.

This is as close to real mentalism as possible. It is a cross between cold-reading and traditional mentalism and I can't speak highly enough about it. He speaks a lot about being bold, and taking chances. He shows how he presents it so if it is a miss, it is no big deal. Most of his work is not a guaranteed hit, but the deck is stacked in his favor. The only reason I gave it a 4 is it is not as organized and understandable as it could be.

For those who have purchased any of Peter's work you already get a sense of what to expect with this. I really enjoyed the casual format of this set as it has an intimate feel which completely sums up Peter's style. The set goes over some great effects with that Turneresque feel of boldness. While there was some rehashing and re-visiting of some of his previous works, getting to see him perform live and hear his theory and concepts for is work is ALWAYS inspiring At least for me personally Overall, this would be for the true performer and for the higher intermediate to advanced mentalist.

There is a certain level of confidence or as Peter terms it "boldness" required to pull off some of these feats and a willlingness to fail which ultimately should be present for any mentalist. In summary This is great! Good for the serious performer! This is not your average mentalism DVD. The effects taught on these videos are like nothing you've likely seen before. I do want to warn that any beginners who purchase this download will feel cheated. If you have, however, been into mentalism for a while you will see how awesome these techniques truly are.

Peter is an extremely good and interesting teacher.
