March 13th, at 4. If you go to the web view and open an item you will see the list of versions. Time Machine does backups periodically; Livedrive does a backup each time the file is saved. One important difference-If you delete a file on your computer it is removed from the backup, but with Time Machine, since each backup is a snapshot in time, you will be able to retrieve a deleted file.
If the problem persists please contact support. How do I contact support? Every time I reboot the integrety check is restarted and takes all day to complete. Is there a way that I can cancel the integrity check and run it after everything has syncronized? Please can you contact support at support livedrivesupport.
I have the same issue.. I am constantly asked to do integrity checks and even if they do finish and send data to the server and then complete all tasks as suggested in the instructions above, I still get asked again each time I am booting up to do an integrity check.
This happens on 2 of the 4 computers I have the L drive software on for LD. Larry After deleting a file on your pc it is still available in your backup in the trash bin! Every time we do an integrity check we get the following error message, An unknown error has occurred, please try again.
I intend to writeoff the current computer my Live drive is installed on and restore all my files to a new computer. This is why I subscribed to Livedrive. I intend to give this computer away. Same problem as you guys!.

Jamie The same issue, not solved with. Support guys are missing, sent 3 direct messages and 3 more using the UI. No reply but the automatic ones….. In over 30 days not even 40Gb backed up! I love the product — but the latest update is borked.
Keeps popping up with error message, then restarting and then doing the error message then restarting…so on and so forth. Thank god they have a 30 day money back guarantee, will be cashing in very soon believe me. This exact issue has begun for me, over the past 48 hours. I am here at this thread because LD gave me the link to do an integrity check. I need online backup! I emailed via the support addie, over 1 month ago but never got a response. I was elated during the trial.
I went month to month, higher price, because of things just like this. I am waiting on this integrity check. And that went on for over two hours, whereupon I gave up keeping track. From the looks of things, the first thing on order for LD is a very efficient, timely support system. Folks blabbing up here? NOT a good way to depend on somebody-LD responding.
My great glee has turned into… wait and see. The do or DROP. Leanne, I had the same issue with livedrive not starting. Try to run the control panel as administrator and then start the service there, that seemed to work for me. Please re-install LiveDrive to fix the problem.
I have no access to my data, a lot of which is not uploaded yet. Our team will then review your account and find a solution. They will be able to review your problem and come to a solution. Clicking on that gives me the status box showing that backups are up to date. I have uninstalled the application and re-installed the current version but the problem remains.
Are there any cache files that need to be cleared? I have the same problem as Mourice above and yes I have used show deleted files. Spencer Blackaller and Mourice — can you actually download the files from the Recycle Bin to restore them? Or were they actually never uploaded? This program is fantastic!
All my files were to big to download from the site and I thought I lost them all, but Restore put all files back on my computer. Thank you so much! Yes I can download the files from the recycle bin. But there is a lot there and to do them individually is an impossible task! Gripes aside, this seems to be a very useful tool although I have a few issues with it that I think are worth mentioning.
It needs to block Windows from restarting. Twice I have left it overnight and got up in the morning to find some automatic update has restarted Windows and stopped my restore. Following the Windows restarts I continued where I left off by downloading the same stuff to the same place on my computer and opting to keep the copy on the PC for any conflicts. This seems to work, except it is very slow to realise that it does not need to copy a file because it already exists.
I expected it to rattle through the first files because it does not need to copy them. Also the file count gets out of synch. I presume that it has skipped the or so files that I restored previously and not incremented its counter. I will double check that the file count is not wrong for a more sinister reason when it is complete. I think this is a brilliant tool but should be part of the main Livedrive Program- it was great to know everything was bang up to date when my hard drive died — main problem is that some of the downloads seem very slow — about 20mins today on a fast internet connection just to download my internet favourites- lots of small files.
Would have been seconds from my portable hard drive. I restored my main bulk of files eventually from a hard drive backup that I do about once a month on my laptop — about 80GB of music documents and pictures. I used livedrive backup just to download files that had been altered or added recently since my last backup — would have too long to download them all — but it was a great relief that I had access to the up to date files and pictures — strangely the pictures seemed to download faster relative to the number of MB of information.
I also find it annoying that the whole file path downloads not just the file I want — perhaps that will be addressed in later versions. Hi Maria. When you download it, the installer will probably be saved to your Downloads folder. You can run it, and the software will install. This is a great tool, but I agree that this should be part of the standard software download. It took me a couple of google searches and links to find this blog.
TP Thank you for your feedback. I will pass this information to the development team and they will consider this in future versions of the software. I lost files due to an aes ransomware encrypting trojan. Fortunately, each file had an additional extension appended. BUT, when I restore folders with deleted files shown, only those deleted files in the top level and next level sub folder are restored. Those in lower level sub folders are NOT.
This is a major problem as I now have to restore over folders manually as I can only restore two levels at a time. It will take me days and days to complete. The Restore Client is a major step forward, but this is a major failing — is there an easier way for me to restore all deleted files? Thank you for contacting us.
